Welcome to my blog!

My name is Kirsten and it’s lovely to meet you.

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember and have an epically, over-active imagination (so I’m told). It was never in my mind for even a second to become a writer growing up because being an author was something special, talented, famous people became. Plus, the career week at school was pretty much ‘go to university, get an apprenticeship, or find a 9-5’. Creative classes were always considered soft subjects, and I didn’t know anyone who had made an actual career out of putting words on paper (or typing on a laptop in this case.)
So my CV began filling up with regular jobs in retail, customer services, sales, even spent a summer working as a children’s entertainer and did character training with WB as Bugs Bunny! I had quite a few random jobs, left Scotland a few times to go travelling, and kept writing my thoughts done as quickly as they came to mind.
It all came to a head, or rather a rather abrupt bump when I had an accident which in a long, round-about way led to me taking a sabbatical, and launching my own business as a copywriter. In amongst all that I published my first novel and got a piece published in a magazine. It was just the beginning…
