December Daydreams

Happy December, it’s been a quick year and no doubt we’ll be in 2016 before we know it!

This past week I’ve been reflecting on 2015 and thinking about what I want from my business and in future. I have a lot of big ideas within and out with my company and my mind has been busy deciding on what to prioritise. I had a lot to live up from my previous year since I published my first novel in 2014 and I did 12 good deeds goals one each month including lots of fundraising and challenges so it was an exciting year.

This year I began working on writing my second novel which is the first in a trilogy and have had some incredible feedback from a publishing agent and beta readers which has been really motivating. I also had a flash fiction piece published in a magazine as well as some PR in the form of two newspaper interviews about me and my business which has been great.

I’ve decided I want to the end year doing some good and spreading a little happiness so I’m going to be spending some of my Christmas Day volunteering at a local soup kitchen. I also bought some gift bags and filled them toiletries, gloves and socks, some food and a card and walked around Glasgow city centre handing them out to the homeless. After collecting donations from my kind neighbours, I delivered them to a local homeless shelter as well so hoping they will be well received at this time of year which is especially hard for some.

I’ve already written out my goals for the year ahead:

  • New website
  • Introduce MMAS coaching sessions
  • Create MMAS DIY courses
  • Finish writing my second novel
  • Write my first business book
  • Do some more volunteer work

December is a month where we can choose to end the year ready to start fresh and do better or at least try to in everything we do. I hope yours is a good one and all the very best to you for the holidays and the New Year (or for Hogmanay as we say in Scotland!)
